Proposed discussion input for ~ONE JOHNNY~ "The many stories of a young man from ~17 years of age to 23" [[Book is already completed and just undergoing some DEET changes prior to each chapter being written into an Episode with "SLATE"... Basically when completed this might be a usefull howto on producing a ScreenPlay from a Book, for either a Movie or HBO type series]]
A Canadian Soldier [a DON-R or 'DR' plus AA Gunner and Bren Gunner/Section-Leader/Corporal, for most of the story] 4 1/2 years overseas from late December 1939 to 1944 [and yes Canada declared war on NAZI Germany Sept.10th 1939, also DUNKIRK EVAC occurred between May 26 and June 4, 1940, with Battle of Britain from July to October of 1940, although Germans were testing the RAF before June to push them away from DUNKIRK. NAZIs were already amassing an invasion fleet, after just successfully invading England's Channel islands—which include Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, and Sark. History just does not realize how close Hitler came. My Dad {JW in the book} still had a little book of German phrases, he had bought back with him. One of the first things he got after getting off of the Polish Liner - Batory,[[ with around 5,000 of his closest Friends from other ships as well on-New Year's EVE-1939, ]] was this German Phrase Book. In typical Canadian Fashion the guys would add in their own Translations, like "where you hiding all your beer you NAZI bastards" "You want some Bully Beef Monkey Boy?", etc etc ]
By the way. I trust this is OK? There shall likely be at least 10+ major entries, with Screen play outlines as well as the Chapter the particular Episode is based on. May stretch out to as many as 15 to 20 Episodes. Think a two year run of Band of Brothers. Not so much stories of combat, but the more down to earth and sometimes humorous as well as horrific DEETS of actual day to day war time. This shall not be your regular war time/type drama. More Forrest Gump than "B of B" perhaps, but more reality than fantasy.
YES of course, constructive input is very welcome, as I suggest this will be also an exercise in how to use "Slate Draft" https://draft.pulptime.com/ [ To help with the book construction itself I have been using "Tools-a-DAY".] The Book "One Johnny" was started in the 1990's when my Father was still alive, passing away June 1994.

I want to create a story that in no way glorifies War. My Father hated it, although he absolutely loved the US Army Airforce, who as he put it, saved his ass just a couple of times in Europe after D Day. I must have had a dozen fighter plane models from a P-51 Mustang to a couple of B-17's, he helped me glue together :)
WELL HERE WE GO ... 1st chapter with my run on SLATE next week. I hope to have this all done with an AI Episode Video by New Years 2027 [way things are going, I better :( ]
