I just wanted to share this article with everyone regarding Roger's new movie Paradise Lost. It's just secured theatrical distribution.

I've read the script, and even more luckily I've had Roger read parts to me. It's shocking how fast he did it (with the hand of man!), and how classic it comes off. I can't wait for it to be made. I wonder how a classic movie will feel through the lens of a modern technology like AI?

Been further educating myself on the story/poem by ' John Milton ', and have noted parallels that have been drawn somewhat between Milton's work and Lucifer's journey, and that of Homer and the Odyssey and his other poems. Of particular interest is that both Homer and Milton were apparently blind?

When can we expect word on that? The beauty with AI for sure, is the fact, that Salty Thespians like a Christopher Walken can be made to look easily like a young buff menacing Officer of Satan. The effects should be amazing as well. Weapons using lightning bolts, flaming tornadoes, obviously some kinds of swords, spears, wings-they have wings that can act like deflector shields!? ... anyhow, nice if we get first dibs to watch trailers ...

Yes @PJSmeall that's correct, Milton was blind in the Homeric tradition. Milton dictated the entire poem to his daughter, who wrote it down.

AI is here to stay; CGI originally was such a huge leap but less controversy regarding human hands, jobs, slop, etc. As a complementary technology it is and will continue to be an awesome technology, but full blow features will have a limited audience at first. But then, almost impercievably, people will no longer care and move to the next thing to judge. It will then be anchored and a part of the Entertainment machine for good. Personally, I love all forms of art so bring it on...its additive! Just my $.02.
