I recently watched Monte Carlo directed by Ernst Lubitsch and absolutely loved it. I never had such a great time watching a movie from the 30s. It feels very modern, the acting is phenomenal, the score - Beyond the Blue Horizon - is fantastic, and it's really funny. At times, Jeanette MacDonald reminded me of Marilyn Monroe in the way she delivered her lines. Highly recommend and I hope to see more Lubitsch movies on PulpTime.
